How to Store Contact Lenses

Proper storage helps keep reusable contact lenses clean and safe between uses.

Storing Your Lenses

1. Store reusable contact lenses only in fresh disinfecting solutions.
   
2. Never reuse old solution.
   
3. Keep the lens case clean and replace the solution each time lenses are stored.
   
4. Close the solution bottle immediately after use.
   
5. Avoid touching the tip of the solution bottle to any surface.
   

Caring for Your Lens Case

1. Empty the lens case after inserting your lenses.
   
2. Rinse the case with fresh contact lens solution (not tap water), if recommended by your eye care professional or the solution manufacturer.
   
3. Allow the case to air dry completely.
   
4. Replace your lens case approximately every three months or sooner if it becomes damaged or dirty.
   

Never store contact lenses in tap water or homemade saline solution.
